Deck Description

Trying to get my brothers old loved 'budget' boogles to be modern playable. Currently it has been all over the place. I want the deck to have more large boogles but that is more of a thought.

Deck discussion for The laate Bogles( heavy WIP)

I play bogles! Check out my bogles decks. ;)
tbh I do not know why you are not playing white. White provides so many more offensive enchantments: ethereal armor, hyena umbra, spirit mantle, unflinching courage, gryff's boon. Also since Daybreak coronet go reprinted in MM2 its price has drop significantly.
On the green side of things, there should be no reason why rancor is not in the deck. Along with Slippery Bogle! The name sake card should be in this deck especially.

The reason I am currently not running white is because that is what my brothers deck was like though I am looking in adding white just don't know how much white. from what I can see it's meant to be more of a control Bogle deck but not sure. Not added Bogle yet beacuse I wasn't sure if I needed another hex-proof creature and Gladecover Scout is cheaper. Not sure how to go about this deck it's still a mess but I digress I will look at adding white to make the deck more aggressive.

* If this is a "Bogle" deck, where the heck ARE those Bogles? I am espcially baffled that you run Gladecover Scout instead of Slippery Bogle which is straight worse.

* Next, 10 creatures is too few! If you don't have a creature, then you can't cast anything since all your pumpers have no targets! And yes, they have hexproof, but that doesn't mean they can't be dealt with - cards like Wrath of God, Earthquake and so on don't target, your creatures might get blocked dead and so on.

* Retreat to Kazandu doesn't do enough and it does it not fast enough (your deck has zero cards that support this - no fetch lands or Courser of Kruphix for example). Should be something more productive.

* Helm of the Gods => Ancestral Mask!

* Herald of the Pantheon and Cloudform are just 2/2s and the only creatures you have that the opponent can target ... they won't suvive long enough to do anything! All they do is providing targets for the opponent's creature removal that would otherwise be dead! Possible replacements without reducing the overall number of creatures and enchantments:
- Nylea, God of the Hunt
- Thassa, God of the Sea
- Eidolon of Blossoms (can get killes easily as well, but you draw at least one card as a replacement)

*The only Reason I am running Scout instead of Slippery Bogle is because it's cheaper no other reason.

* Yeah I think I need more creatures I have 14 with Cloudform but I do need more.

* I agree retreat to kazandu seems like a waste.

*Helm of the gods is just better and you think I should add Ancestral Mask?

*out of the options you suggested I do like Eidolon of Blossoms it is kinda expensive but could give value. I also don't mind Nylea, God of the Hunt it does seem expensive but big but it's kinda what Sagu Mauler is for. as for my Herald of the Pantheon I just thought it could make it more smooth but if it just dies it is a waste. as for Cloudform it being hexproof and flying make it not that easy to die.

Thanks a lot about this suggestion it really is helping me shape this deck.

Well, Ancestral Mask gives twice the bonus, also counts opponent's enchantments and is an enchantment itself. The Helm is reusable, though, on the other hand it's the only artifact in your deck, so if the opponent has any artifact removal, it'll hit this before you can use it a second time.

About Cloudform, I actually overlooked that it has hexproof as well (I only remembered flying), so that's a nice fit!

Oh, maybe we can forget about that Ancestral Mask issue ... it's not Modern legal! I thought it was because it has been reprinted in Eternal Masters and therefore has the new card face but it has to be reprinted in a regular set.

You really do not need more creatures :P the regular GW bogles deck runs 12, 8 of which are hexproof, 4 are kor spiritdancer. And i suppose if you really want to be picky dryad arbor is also a creature.
