Deck Description

Wanna abuse Skullclamp & Bloodghast?
Aimed at Duels or Multiplayer wins.

The whole point of this deck is to use Skullclamp with your creatures, draw, draw, draw, and ramp up to a massive exsangunate to nuke all opponent(s).

Grave Pact for keeping the field clear, and Helm for an alternative to steal a useful target.
Sac your creatures to Ashnod's Altar, with help from Pawn of Ulamogs' spawn, in order to cast a MASSIVE Exsanguinate.

You notice a few inclusions;
Evolving Wilds/Terramorphic Expanse are there so I can play ghasts twice in each turn, and find a mountain.
They do slow the deck a little, but after playtesting the deck, their inclusion is important.
Anger is in there so I can sac & attack with my creatures every turn.
Diabolic Intent is awesome with Pact.... ;)

EDIT: Vengeful Pharaoh isn't a strong option, I've swapped it out for Black Market. I'll see how I go for defence. I may end up putting it back in......wait and see.

Feel free to offer advice on how to improve this deck.
This list I feel is almost there, any suggestions are welcome!

Cheers.

Deck discussion for ABUSE your SAC

Maybe some destroy/ dismembers, some 1st turns besides Skullclamp, like Vampire Lacerator. And Sorin M. definitely. maybe a blood line keeper.
Over all I'm a bit iffy about this deck, but this isn't really my style.

Cheers.
Yeah that's a fair call.
This deck is vulnerable early - so anything that sucks life from me like Lacerator would be pretty risky.
Dismember is an awesome card, but once again, 4 life is a big deal in a massive multiplayer game.
I wanna nuke every player in a MP game, even those playing lifegain, with a 40+ exsanguinate as early as possible.

When I first started playing with this deck, I had 4x Infest/BSZ in there, a few Innocent Blood and (funnily enough) a single Sorin Markov!
But I found that most of the time they were dead card's.
With Skullclamp and the Ghast, with all the tap-lands, I'm drawing a huge amount of cards every turn.
Once one Clamps is out, it doesn't take me long to get multiple copies of my pieces.
I may try a few creatures that give me more control, like maybe Wall fo Souls.
Maybe even No Mercy for an enchantment version of the Pharaoh?

I'd say Black Market would be hilarious in this deck, especially if your main goal is Exsanguinate. It's a shame it's a five-drop, but once it's out and you have your Skullclamps taking care of your Bloodghasts, your opponents are probably dead next turn.

LOL
Yeah it would be. I didn't even know of that card.
I can just imagine everyone's faces when they see that come out after a Clamp.
I have to get one of those for this deck - i just have to!
No dount this card is gonna make a turn 6 kill-all inevitable. he he he he he

Thanks!

Thinking out loud;
Ritual, Pawn, Ashnod's could all help me get this out earlier.
5-CMC might not be that much of a stretch!

Again, thanks for the great comment on my Laboratory Maniac Self-Mill deck.

Man! Once I saw Bloodghast, I KNEW it had to combo with it!

This is my take on the strategy.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=336208

I use Fastbond so I can get nearly all of my lands out ASAP, but the strategy isn't legal, and it is a 3-piece combo... and as you said, that's not good.

But I approve Skullclamp + Bloodghast in anything. Keep it up!

You're dead right.
Those would increase the speed of the deck no question.
But....with a budget in mind, and a lack of defence means I might stay with the slower option in Evolving/Expanse
But you're still right - they'd be a great inclusion.

What an insane build - you could, and *should* be proud of this, slave. Abuse your Sac indeed. I think this is one of the best coherent SAC's I've seen in a long time... and you've managed to keep it budget-friendly. Good job :-D
Exsanguinate FTW
How many wins and losses have you had with this...yes, I dare say... masterpiece!
The only advice I can offer is; I would remove 1 swamp in favor for
"Phyrexian Tower"
- Legendary Land:{T}: Add 1 to your mana pool
{T}: Sacrifice a creature: Add {B}{B} to your mana pool
I think you could get early with the draw engine you've built here :)

sorry i never got back to you, you commented on my legacy reanimator deck almost a year ago.

i love the idea behind this deck, i really do. i agree with phoenix that phyrexian tower is a must have, such a good mana accelerator. and black market should be a four of instead of buried alive, the most you ever need to play of that card is 2. another suggestion i would have is maybe 2-3 culling the weak. a dark rit for 4 mana that you only have to sac a creature for is perfect for this deck. +1
