Deck Description

If you understand the deck's name, congrats! You're awesome.

The moment I saw this card I knew I had to make an EDH for it. The deck runs somewhat similar to my Jarad EDH, though with less ability to "go nuclear" in exchange for more consistency/stability. That said, this deck can do some pretty big things.

How to Play

Play lands, sac lands, dump lands, return lands. Play creatures, sac creatures, dump creatures, return creatures.

Keep this cycle going and you're pretty much set.

Deck discussion for Number 5: Toad

I like the possibility of The Gitrog Monster + Mimic Vat + Dryad Arbor. Effectively turning Mimic Vat's ability into {3}, {T}: draw a card :p

I've put Thought Gorger on the Vat with Gitrog out and the card drawing I got was insane. I also almost decked myself that game too, but it was fun =]

Have you thought about using drownyard Temple from SOI? Goes great with gitrog.

I did think about it, but I didn't really like it as much as I thought I would. Sorry for the late reply by the way.

Where's dem fetchlands??! You can have fetchlands of other colors in your deck cuz they aren't colored and don't have any colored mana symbols, so you can play misty rainforest, wooded foothills, polluted delta, windswept heath, bloodstained mire, marsh flats, and others as long as they don't have any mana symbols other than green or black in the text/cost (but lands don't have a cost sooo....) That being said, I don't think you can have riftstone portal in this deck.

To be honest I tried this, and ended up really not liking it, because I often found myself without enough lands that actually tapped for mana. As for Riftstone, I'll have to review the rules regarding color identity with lands. I think it's legal, but I'm not totally sure.
