Deck Description

This is a MTG definition of how Congress works.

Edit #1: If you feel the need for more card draw and quicker games and want to drop more money on the deck, feel free to drop 2 Indestructibility cards for either Dictate of Kruphix or Sphinx's Revelation. This is only if you feel like paying a bit more though, but they will speed up the game drastically.

Edit #2: Put in Sphere of Safety cuz it's good.

Edit#3: Just wanted to say thanks for all the support guys, I really appreciate getting to front page and I'll be sure to provide more cool stuff :D

Edit#4: Drop the Syncopates for the Render Silents and have tons of fun!

How to Play

Stall everything your opponent attempts to do, get out your elocutors, and win slowly.

Do you think that Sphinx's Revelation or Dictate of Kruphix would be a good option there?

Sphinx's Revelation would be brilliant in this deck, I would recommend it. Any Azorius styled deck can benefit from that cards caressing draw power.

While being Standard ready, design and flavor is just right! Well done.

I think going for 4 spheres is a good choice, maybe dropping some other anti-attack control in exchange; the spheres stack, so getting more than one just makes them even more OP, and even a single on with a few other enchantments out will lock down the game, moreso than some of your other cards. Thus, increasing your chances of drawing one of them is a good choice.

Whats kind of interesting is that i am currently reading Tom Clancy's Executive Orders So a lot of political stuff in that. The main character is trying to rebuild the government after its been completely destroyed. So I can really relate to this deck lol

I would recommend Medomai the Ageless; he's awesome, and fits the theme, because after all, Congress can do what they want. Haha.

I have a deck similar to this, did you consider Curse of Chains? I'm not sure on it's format rulings though

Throwing in Heliod might not be so bad. He combos well w/ Sphere of safety. and if u wanna splash in red, throw in Assemble the Legion. Elspeth suns champion is also nice. Kill big things and throw out lil 1/1's just in case.
