Deck discussion for Manaless Dredge - Legacy

I'm still kinda new to magic, so dont take this the wrong way but i don't see how this deck works out. Do you need to get to ten cards then discard to use this deck?

You discard only when you have 8 cards in hand, so when you are piloting this deck you always take the draw. So you draw to 8 cards, then discard a Dredge card or a Phantasmagorian and use it's ability to empty your hand.

After that point every drawstep for you should be a Dredge, along with using Probes+Street Wraith to speed up the process. Then you Dread Return a Balustrade Spy, or a Whirlpool Drake to nearly flip your deck over into your graveyard. From there you can easily use Cabal Therapy and Dread Return to make several zombies and to reanimate a Flayer of the Hatebound then reanimate a Golgari Grave-Troll, and with Flayers ability it should kill your opponent.
