Deck discussion for Mardu Deathblade - Legacy

Me and my friend are trying to get into legacy. In fact we already have most of burn built but what competitive decks would you recommend to get into the format. We mostly play modern, and have almost everything we'd need from there. Alex either wants to play Miracles or Lands. We have about half of Miracles and Lands we'll never get to because of Tabernacle XD.

For a beginning deck, Miracles is 50/50, since it's not super expensive but it's very difficult to play efficiently. If you want to try that you need to put in a TON of time just understanding it's lines and plays with Divining Top, otherwise you will just piss off the other players.

Other then that Burn is a good deck, cheap and it does win. Manaless Dredge is cheap and good.

With Modern cards, you would probably have the majority of Jund, excluding the manabase.
Death & Taxes is a good deck, there is budget versions that exclude Rishadan Port and Karakas, using Ghost Quarter along with Wastelands is still a viable resource denial strategy.

I can keep naming off lists but without knowing exactly what you have from Modern that can transfer over I would probably be here all day writing an essay.

Lol yeah, trust me I've written essays on here. I created the posts about this website being inactive and reviving it.

And now Miracles is out of the question with the ban announcement. I think I will end up going into a delver or death & taxes type strategy with burn being a back up deck. With miracles now gone those three decks get better as well.

Burn and Combo in general are going to get much better, also the more fair creature decks will probably get better with Terminus gone, stuff like Maverick and Merfolk.
