The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

I'm basically just posting decks here that I own in real life. There has been a lot of discussion around the Splinter Twin deck, so I decided to throw my own deck to the mix. Like all my previous decks, this has one me many tournaments at my local game store and is one of my go-to decks if I want to win. It also contains many control elements, which is why I like it so much, you have to use your superior intelligence to overcome your opponent.

I hope you liked the deck, there are many variations and this happens to be mine. Splinter Twin is a very flexible deck so it's good to change some cards around occasionally depending on the meta. I hope you have a wonderful day.

How to Play

I recommend looking up detailed guides online regarding control. If I were to explain control to you, I would have to write a book! Thank you for checking my deck, but now I must go spend time with my waifu.

Deck discussion for Gentleman's Splintertwin

now THIS is what a splinter twin deck should look like, control the board and then combo for the win. I personally prefer spell snare, but that is often more of a sideboard material, which is more dependent on your local meta.

Thank you. I think it all depends on the metagame. In the past I did run Spell Snare to counter some decks, but I don't see those decks as much at the current time. It certainly is a viable option, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and have a nice day.

Now this is how I remember loosing to a deck the guy called his "unfair deck"
I just couldn't remember the cards! While this isn't the deck exactly, it's still similar. Kiki-jiki could be a grea addition to this deck to further the combo

Nice deck. I'd drop the spell pierce and dispel for Swan Song personally. You can't counter creatures with that card but it's a more or less guaranteed counter and you have the burn to remove early game creatures under most circumstances. Don't have much else in terms of suggestions though. +1 Like.

If you have some time check out my newest deck on here.. it's a dragon deck. Always looking for suggestions.

Swan Song isn't as good as spell pierce or dispel, Spell Pierce is great because against twin, mana is always tight, and your opponent has to respect your combo and keep up an instant speed removal spell, which is where dispel is awesome

I would personally try and fit in two Vendillion Clique, it gets rid of a removal card that they could use on your combo, or lets you dig a little deeper into your own deck, it also becomes a pretty nice beat stick for those games where twin doesn't want to come out and play

It's all meta dependent, but I do run two in my sideboard against control.

I'm not sure it is meta dependent, the majority of decks run removal and if they don't you take something that beats your deck in tempo or speed, an infect pump spell for example, its also just great in combat because it doesn't get blocked much so its a free bolt a turn, or it blocks pretty well against decks like Zoo and it blocks affinity's Inkmoth nexus

I personally believe that if you have problems with those decks you switch to Grixis Twin, giving you more options to disrupt their game plan and they're heavier on the control side as well. This is just my opinion though and may be biased because I have had no problems with Infect or Zoo at my local game store. Then again I haven't seen them too often.

Thank you for your input and have a wonderful day.

I also run a splinter Twin deck in modern, and my list is pretty similar to yours but I run Vendilion Cliques instead of lavamancers and Spell Snares instead of Spell pierces. Your lst looks pretty good though, and I hope you keep winning! :)
