Deck Description

A Jeskai Ascendancy combo which utilize Zada's ability and cantrip spells like Expedite and Slip Through Space.

I am actually still not sure with the lands

Comment and suggestions?

How to Play

First three turn: build up, drop the mana dorks and Jeskai Ascendancy.
Turn 4: drop Zada
Turn 5: start the combo by playing instants and sorceries

Utilize the mana dork and creature lands to keep mana floating by tap-untap through Jeskai Ascendancy.
Target Zada with cantrip spells to keep filling hand.
When the creatures is large enough after the combo, it suppose to kill the opponent since all the creatures suppose to be unblockable and have haste.

*reminder: spells copy from Zada's ability does not trigger prowess and Jeskai Ascendancy

Deck discussion for Zada Ascendancy

While you probably don't need it- one of the most absurd zada combos I've ever seen was with Temur Battle Rage- normally it requires something like Titan's Strength to go off properly, but with the Jeskai Ascendancy pseudo-prowess trigger, you can get the full Temur Battle Rage effect without any other spells.

Also- Defiant Strike is a good White Cantrip to play on Zada, if you want it.

I actually want to put Temur Battle Rage in, but not sure what to take out. Maybe I dont really need Dig Through Time.
double strike to all the attacking creatures is always sweet for delivering damage but dunno.
Going to consider it after some play testing.

It may be worth is to cut green to keep the mana base under control.

Loosing the ramp is hard, but maybe with some low-drop prowess creatures like Seeker of the Way and/or Monastary Swiftspear you canjust fight it out like a normal prowess deck. Loosing Become Immense is harder, but there are solid red cards that boost damage. I've combo'd Zada with Sure Strike to give +3/+0 and First Strike, and it's pretty vicious. Giant's Strength does +3/+1 and scry, and the new Gatewatch card, I think it's Brutal Strength, gives +3/+1 and trample, so red can fill in most of the roles green plays in this deck.

Hard to say, but it might work better going for a more traditional Jeskai-colors Prowess deck that just happens to be built around Zada.

Done with the first play-testing against bant megamorph and a kind of abzan midrange deck.
I switch mode a couple of time between this setup and the one without green.
I also swap the Hierarch with Swiftspear, DTT to Temur Battle Rage.
both have its pros and cons

Current setup:
pros
- a sure lethal damage when the combo works (most likely work at turn 5-6).
- able to survive the midgame, creatures are somehow easier to protect
cons
- with current land set it's quite painful with the painland eventhough the mana screw rarely happen, so a 'fail to kill' combo (miss calculation on the possible damage output) most likely end up losing at next turn :v
- rely quite a lot on the ascendancy combo

Without green:
Get titan's strenght, Reckless Bushwhacker, and Hordeling Outburst
pros
- higher board pressure
- easier to play (more straight forward)
- does not really rely on the combo
cons
- can't survive a longer game.
- harder to get the combo to be done

*Abzan midrange is surely a terrible opponent for this deck.

Still gonna work with this one. Maybe I need to use fetchland to make the mana and drawing more consistent and less painful, but budget actually still a consideration.
