Deck Description

Want to win without attacking, or creatures for that matter?! Want to have some fun playing with your own spells? Like fancy combos? Then this is the deck for you!

Have any suggestions? I'd love to hear them!

P.S. Anybody know why Compelling Argument is High-Listed at $10,000???

How to Play

The main goal of this deck is to play Approach of the Second Sun two times, as quickly as possible. "How?" You ask. Simple!

Option 1: Counter your own spell, using either Censor, or Disallow. Don't worry, the spell still counts as being cast, so the next time you cast it, you win! Now to cast it again. Either have one in your hand, or use Not Forgotten to fetch it for you, with the added bonus of heading right to the top of your library (instead of 7 down)!

Option 2: Bounce it! Why bother with the library, or with your graveyard, when you can just put it back in your hand? Just cast your spell, then use Failure to bring it back to your hand! Instant win next turn!

Option 3: Draw/Cycle. After casting, use cycling cards (Compelling Argument, Irrigated Farmland, and Censor) or Draw spells (Anticipate, Glimmer of Genius) to get back to your card as quickly as possible. Hint: if you use Glimmer's scry to put your cards on bottom, you can filter past 4 cards in one turn!

Option 4: Mill yourself. ...Wait, what? You heard me! Mill yourself! Using Compelling Argument, you can go from 6 cards on top of Approach, to none! The very turn after you cast it the first time! Effectively reducing the wait time from 7 turns, to 2.

But wait, what if they kill me before I can even cast Approach for the first time?
Fear not my friends, for this deck covers that as well.
Ramp up your speed with free spells from As Foretold, and lots of mana from Pyramid of the Pantheon. Hint: Dropping Pyramid turn 1, and putting a counter on it every turn, you can cast a turn 4 Approach!
Find your spells faster with your draw spells!
Slow down your opponent by forcing them to wait a turn for their creatures with Authority of the Consuls.
Put their spells back in their hand with Failure, and then use the second half (Comply) to stop them from casting it again!
Don't feel like being nice? Counter their spells with Censor and Disallow.
Is your opponent getting too many creatures for your liking? Use Fumigate or Engulf the Shore to wipe out that horde.
