Deck Description

Do you like Apes? Do you like Frog Lizards? How about Goblins or land denial? Maybe you like sacrificing things? If you do like any one of these then try Modern Goblin Land Destruction Value(this deck). The deck revolves around an entirely different concept that I haven't seen before. This weird idea is sacrificing your creatures to get bigger creatures and then shutting your opponent down from their constant amount of lands. It's kind of a mix of Birthing Pod and Land Destruction. Sometimes even a creature token deck as your Leylines (located in your sideboard) make your creatures stronger to fight off the creature tokens you gave your opponents through Pongify and Rapid Hybridization (these cards will usually be targeting Akki Blizzard-Herder the core card of your deck). But maybe you like the concept but not necessarily the play style in which you can change by adding green or other colors, and if you have the money, Scalding Tarn and Boom // Burst.

How to Play

Try to get out Akki as fast as possible and start using Pongify and Rapid Hybridization to destroy and replace it with a bigger creature. Then destroying both your and your opponent's lands through Akki's effect but there's a catch: when you chose what land you need to sacrifice you will target either Terramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds which allow you to cheat sacrificing a land(look at tleung84633 if you still don't understand how you can cheat sacrificing a land as this idea came from him.) You'll usually use Goblin Grenade as a finisher and all the other cards in there are for control.

Another interesting deck; I dig. One thing though... why are there 8 Probes? lol Don't think that's legal.

Definitely an interesting deck you have here. I saw the deck tag of "$80". Does that mean you don't want to run Scalding Tarns? Aside from the fact that they grant you immediate access to your colors, they work wonders with Boom//Bust:

Play Boom, target Scalding Tarn. Sacrifice/fetch the Tarn in response to Boom and get your land. Scalding Tarn is no longer a legal target since it's now in the graveyard so you do not lose a land but your opponent does! BAM!

I suppose if you insist on keeping it under $100, you could run Evolving Wilds/Terramorphic Expanse. I have to suggest putting in some Shivan Reefs cause you don't wanna get color-screwed.

Other than that, nice home-brew man!

Thanks for the Suggestions! I'll see what I can do with the color foxing portion of the deck.

This is actually very interesting... Seems great, might test it out online. +1!
Also just a quick question. What's Gift of Tusks purpose in the deck??

I'm glass you like the deck, but Gift of Tusks is just a worse version of Pongify/Rapid Hybridization. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any other card(s) to replace it so I just left it there. Please let me know if you found a replacement, because the only replacement card that I found for it is Noxious Revival, but Revival usually becomes a slow, clunky -1 which goes against the entire concept of the deck.

You can just replace Gift of Tusks with any kind of good cheap (ideally)goblin with death trigger and you're good to go :) Or a fulminator mage.

Another alternative, if you really love akki, would be Serum Powder.

That is true. I can't believe I didn't think of adding another creature to this deck. Thanks I'll see what I can do! Also, I have tried Serum Powder, but it didn't work to well. Thanks though!

evolving wilds for deck thinning?

Can you trigger Akki, targetting an evolving wilds, and tap the evolving wilds in response to fetch a landcard so you dont actually lose land?

I can always add Evolving Wilds but the only issue I see with it is that is that ut may be a little slow but I can always try it out.

I figured that, but instead of a card whose sole purpose is to be another card, shouldn't you just play something that you actually want? :/

I would but what other card could I put in this deck that I would want? Lightning bolt was the closest thing I could find.

Could a good replacement be Telling Time?

even serum visions would be good; anything that helps you dig for your stuff... Considerign that most of your spells will put 1-2 cards in the yard, delve cards would alos be good, i think.

It is true that it is a no-brainer to add cards like the ones you suggested but I try to lay off on them so that I can make my decks as budget as possible. Thank you of r the suggestions though.

Hmm... Could Gods' Eye, Gate to the Reikai be in this deck? it gives u a 1/1 for it going to the grave. also Crucible of Worlds in the mb or sb?

Gods' Eye could definitely work thanks for the suggestion, but it might mess up your mana production. I'll see what I can do with it. Also, I don't like to play Crucible of the Worlds because it cost three mana which is hard to get to in this deck and is a very expensive card. I don't like using expensive/"overpowered" cards because they are already known to be good and I like to not only introduce a new concept for players but also like to do so with a budget concept so that I can bring in new players (Ex: my Eldrazi Reanimater deck allowed me to convert many of my Yu-gi-oh to playing magic, a game in which is more fun for me). However, if I were to run Crucible I would probably run one or two in the mainboard. Once again, thank you for the suggestions.
