Deck Description

So on this one I tried to do something pretty broken. Think of this like proliferation with maybe slightly more speed.
The goal is to get enlightened tutor on isochron scepter and get your gilder combo. You then use the scepter to pull all sorts of things out.

Update 9/12/17: Removed coretapper added staff of domination

How to Play

Lot of different ways to reach one goal here. You want to basically get to the point where you can play anything you want out of the deck for free.
1. Filigree+Astral Cornucopia+planar portal
2. Oracle vault + tutor stick+filigree+Astral Cornucopia
3. Oracle vault+tutor stick just play whatever you want and be constrained in the number of times you can activate each turn.
4. Astral Cornucopia+Staff of Domination. You can end the game. This will allow you to play your entire deck out but in a controlled fashion so you don't mill out. Staff of domination is now in the sideboard.

Once you achieve "infinite tutoring" as it were, you play out all the nasty artifacts in here and the game effectively ends. This is because gilder is basically acting as a proliferation engine and you will inherently seek to play filigree and astral cornucopia if they aren't already in play. You now have:
Infinite untapping
Infinite proliferation of counters
Infinite select play of any artifact in the deck. Pull it out put it on the field done.

This may seem overly complicated (and it is wew) but at this point you control everything. Your artifacts which normally depend on a finite number of counters and being able to tap only once per turn are no longer limited by either. So you can do almost anything, infinitely. It merely depends on which artifacts you want in the deck at that point. For this deck I have provided:
A. Infinite tokens
B. Infinite damage mill and poison counters/Infinite mill seziure of all enemy creatures in all graveyards (sideboard is codex shredder and grimoire of the dead)
C. Infinite destruction of enemy permanents
D. Infinite Life gain (by raising the counters on eternity vessel to infinite and then playing a land)
E. Darksteel forge to make it harder to disrupt things.

Among other things.

Deck discussion for Gilder Tutor of the Vault

Sage of Hours is pointless in this build unless you add a way to put a +1/+1 counter on it.

Equip paradise mantle to it. Since equip is "to target creature as a sorcery" that should work.
If not I can replace him with time sieve which will combo with the golem foundry.

No you are wrong. Equipping does not trigger it. The phrase " as a sorcery" is just referring to the time frame it must be done in. Only on your main phase when no other spells or abilities are on the stack.

Yeah it didn't work like that. Have to actually cast something as equipping is an ability, not a spell.

Okay in that case updated and replaced with time sieve.
Added an extra golem foundry also.

Yea this deck is for sure not as serious as the other one I was mainly just trying to run down the artifacty/isochron path of what sort of things the gilder combo can be used for just to see what I could get.

Probably a more concise alternative to this would be a deck more focused around things like walking ballista (hangerback walker I think is another good one). Might build that later on.

In the argument of walker vs ballista, it depends entirely on how you take advantage of them. With both you can make a single massive creature, but it's their abilities that will depend on the rest of the deck. Do you have something that triggers off all those thopters coming in when walker dies? Or are you just going for straight damage with ballista?

Swing with the walker then fling it at someone else before anybody can stop it. Probably I will include spike weaver in that deck as well so the thopters would all be infinitely powerful from getting an infinite number of counters from spike weaver. That would be the walker. Ballista would be a three for one deal. You can swing with it, ping with it, and fling it. I haven't started this deck yet but I plan to possibly tonight, once I figure out some things I should be able to get both of them hopefully. If I had to choose I would lean toward the walker simply because I like the idea of a crap ton of flying things with massive power is really interesting. We will see where it goes. The only real core concept I have in mind for that deck right now is "make something that uses artifact creatures which do things off of getting counters"

Could also make a hybrid sunburst deck which uses gilder to ramp the sunburst counters. Might be neat just for nostalgia. I also had a wacky idea to try and fuse a kor equip deck with this, or some form of white weenie deck in which the creatures benefit from getting counters. Just some off the wall ideas.

Also mycosynth golem is a thought.

You'd be better of doing a simic theme over a white weenie deck if you wanted to focus on counters. That being said though, a fun thing to with walker is to put in a copy of Cathar's Crusade, because since all the thopters enter at the same time, they all see each other in the eyes of the ETB trigger on crusade, so if you say created fifty thopters when walker died, all fifty would get fifty counters on them. This would make them insanely huge in a short amount of time. I use a combo like that in my Iroas EDH with Cathar's Crusade and Assemble the Legion, and a friend of mine uses it with Marath to make an insane amount of tokens that are ridiculously beefy. And then you can use Gilder to just buff them more if you wanted. This combo is so versatile its scary.

I will definitely be looking at a simic theme deck as well. So I guess consider it possibly 3 more decks coming.

So an update, it occurred to me that staff of domination could be nasty here. Two added to the sideboard and I removed coretapper.
