This deck is designed to produce fairly rapid ramp in order to play big nasty things. The goal here was to try to take non infinite mana ramp, partiuclarly green ramp, to its edge. There are of course many ways to produce significantly more ramp, but most of these involve an infinite combo of some kind and this deck seeks to avoid that.
Ramp using the elves. Use tooth and nail to help search big nasties or omnath for additional ramp. Play big nasties and enjoy the show. If you want to splash red you can throw in things like worldfire and/or fireball for mass effects.
