Deck Description

Ok so there are several reasons why I'm beginning to love this deck idea. When Eldritch moon came out, I went on this totally irresponsible spending spree and nabbed up enough booster packs to almost equal a booster box. (the booster box probably would have been cheaper.) BUT... I pulled nearly a playset of Mausoleum Wander, two thalias, two spell quellers, two sigarda's aid..... basically ive already pulled most the deck, including the SOI cards as well. So it was screaming to be built. Second, has any one read up on the relationship between Thalia and the Geist of Saint traft?!
SPOILER WARNING** Thalia totally gets possessed by the Geist of Saint Traft, (it's more like a mutual relationship) Together the two of them face down Brisela, Voice of Nightmares, and totally win! ( with sigarda's aid actually.) So there is soooo Much Flavor in this deck. Stories people! That's what Magic is about. And thirdly, its U/W, one of my favorite color combinations. Right next to G/W. Any ways... ummm. this is the first draft of the deck idea. its going to need some play testing. But if you see some major weaknesses, point them out please. I see a few right now, but im not sure how to fix them just yet. So, tips please. Name of the Deck is a working title

How to Play

Okay. So the deck is U/W control. so ideally....
T1> Port Town (any dual land)> Mausoleum Wanderer.
T1.5 (Opponents turn) Counter bad spell (*if necessary)
T2>Land> Sigarda's aid,(or two more Wanderers if you want to)
T2.5 (opponents turn,)> Sticthers graft on to Wanderer. Counter Bad spell (*if necessary)
T3>Land>Lunar force. Swing with 4/4 Wanderer....(if still around)
T3.5> Counter Opponent spell.
T4> So many options at this point......

Deck discussion for Geist of Saint Thalia???

I'll start by saying I really like where you going with this deck however I think a few aspects are just to slow for modern or are setting yourself up for unwanted lines of play.
First off I think Lunar Force is a very bad card. It has you using your crucial turn 3 play to do nothing. It gives your opponent the choice of playing around it by countering what they want instead of what you actually need to counter. I would replace all copies with Remand. Sure your opponents gets the card back but it counters what you want and gives you a draw which you are really lacking.
Next on the chopping block would have to be Stitcher's Graft. A great card in limited but it really doesn't have modern potential. it's only benefit is p/t enhancement with two different downfalls. I would suggest replacing this with Hyena Umbra, giving your Giest first strike and a small p/t boost is sometimes all it needs to survive too the next combat phase. The added bonus of totem armor makes it a huge winner in my opinion. As well as putting your enchantment count back up to 12 for Starfield of Nyx, considering the deletion of Lunar Force.
Next I think Mausoleum Wanderer isn't really warranted in this build, I could be wrong on this one but I fell your gonna want another hexproof creature to apply your enchantments on. You really don't want to enchant creatures that can be targeted. It sets you up for getting two for one'd. The best option here would be Invisible Stalker. Unblockable, Hexproof with an Invocation on it seems really good to me.
Path to Exile should probably have a home somewhere here as well. Just not sure where to fit it. Possibly put Unsubstantiate to a 2 of for this.
In conclusion I'll add that your side board needs a lot of work. It comes off as having cards that fit the deck but you ran out of room for them for the most part. IMO a SB should consist of situational cards that are very useful against the main archetypes in the given format. for modern I would suggest Leyline of Sanctity against burn, mill or discard decks. Hurkyl's Recall and Stony Silence against affinity/artifact decks. Spellskite is amazing against Infect or hexproof enchant decks like this one. (Watch out for this one it has the potential to shut your deck down. you will want to remove it or prevent it from resolving). Ghostly Prison is another great SB card against aggro decks like zoo.

Whew that ended up being a lot and and much more in depth then I planned on saying in the first place. Sorry if it came off like I ripped the deck apart but I do believe the changes I suggested would make it a much more viable contender in modern. They're just my opinions and should be taken as such.
Happy Casting from your friendly neighbourhood Maniac. :)

No, no, walls of text are excellent and even welcome. You did exactly what I asked for, so thank you. I went ahead and made some of the edits you suggested. I did keep mausoleum wanderer, because I feel it is a simply excellent T1 drop and it feeds into the control aspect of the deck. However I really like the suggestion of the invisible stalker so I side boarded those. I also dropped the lunar force... (I honestly like the card and someday I hope to find a way to abuse it with starfield) The sad fact of the card was that one spell would pop each lunar force in play. Anways I appreciate the comments. I'm also wondering if you might know of a way to consistently recur the wanderer. Also I do need to find a way to create better card draw as I feel that is probably the biggest weakness of the deck at the moment.

I like the flavour of the deck! That story was pretty awesome =) Anyway, suggestions!
- If you can afford it, you'd really like to be running 2-3 celestial colonnade; It may enter tapped, but it is just too good a card not to play. - Also, mana leak is far better than unsubstantiate in modern. Having your opponent have to play around mana leak gives you the time you need to get your synergies off the ground; it should be a 4 of.
- I also agree with Maniacal that masoleum wanderer just doesnt seem as impactful in this deck either; rattlechains may be better, as it gives all your spirits flash if it's on the field, and has flash itself, or just using those slots to up your paths to 4 and adding a pair of vapor snags may be a better use of those 4 slots, but it comes down to playtesting and seeing if it does enough.
- Finally, starfield of nyx just doesn't do enough IMO; it's a 5 mana commitment and it's only useful to you if you have a fair number of enchantments in the grave already, since the enchantments turning into creatures is not really relevant. Siguarda's aid is kinda in the same boat, since the only thing that really cares about gaining flash is hyena umbra, so I dunno if it's a good call to commit those two slots to something like that. They might be better played as something like spell snare or spell pierce (since modern is a format of a LOT of 2 mana spells). Keeping the aid in for the flavour is totally understandable, but it will impact your decks ability to be versatile.

These are the main things that are sticking out to me.
Good luck with your brewing! =)

Haha I actually forgot to remove the starfields in the first edit. The idea was to run starfield of nyx and to start recurring a lunar force but..... I ended up cutting the lunar force and forgot to remove the other piece. so another edit is due. ill be looking at it a little more closely in the next couple of weeks. ill post another edit soon. thanks for the advice
