A mono-black deck all about Gonti and his Aetherborn army. Sap the life of your opponents, sacrifice artifacts, and rule the night! All the while as your own life slowly slips away...
This deck is all about building up a scary, Aetherborn army, while having fun with some artifact-sacrificing shenanigans. There's a bit of self harm in this deck, but plenty of ways to steal life from your opponent to replenish your own.Focus on sacrificing your Scrapheap Scroungers after using them in combat. They can be pulled out of the graveyard at any time, so combined with your Metalspinner's Puzzleknots, you'll have plenty of artifacts to sacrifice at will.Your enchantments are cute little annoyances for your opponents. Underhanded Designs helps you slowly steal life away, and having the threat of cheap creature removal is always nice. While Gonti's Machinations helps you build up that energy for Gonti's Aether Heart, and is a nice way to poke down your opponent and heal yourself back up at the same time. The creature game is pretty straightforward. A bunch of Aetherborn that like to sacrifice artifacts, or steal things from your opponents. Whether its cards or life, consider them yours. All the while your Midnight Entourages are buffing everything up, adding some fun Aetherborn tribal and some bonus card draw to the mix.Ultimately, this deck is mean to be ridiculously fun to play, regardless of the outcome. Enjoy blowing up your own artifacts and making your opponents beg for their life totals back. Make the most of your short, Aetherborn lifecycle!
