Deck Description

my general idea was to have a deck that sacrificed creatures with "when this creature dies" effects to different effects and then ressuruct the creatures with beacon of unrest/athreios/cauldron haze.

How to Play

try and keep a beacon back and use what you need. have fun:0

Deck discussion for white-black gravecycle

you should add cards like unburial rites, and beacon of unrest to this deck for more gravecycling. you could take out your planeswalkers since they dont directly contribute to your decks theme, and mabe add in some creatures with undying or persist like geralf's messenger, or twilight shepherd. cauldon haze is also a pretty good card here.

I see what you have going on here, but if you are looking for something more competitive, I can certainly recommend what I would use.

For me:
+1 athreos
+2 black cat
+4 zulaport cutthroat
+2 cauldron haze (This is so abusable)
+2 skull clamp
+4 shambling goblin
+4 viscera seer

And Id cut the high end and less effective cards:
-4 gravepurge
-3 bloodflow con
-2 butcher of malakir
-3 blistergrub

I hate to say it, but I think the CutThroat Kitchen deck pretty much does exactly what you want to do, except adding cauldron haze and having you x/1s trigger death twice is very powerful. Also skullclamp is banned in modern if you care about that. Cause its amazing for this deck.

Grave pact is better, but yah certain ly is. Again, assuming you aren't super competative.

what would be good for super competitive, and why would cauldron haze de good in a deck where most sacrifices are 1-drops?

and also, why so few way to sacrifice cards in a sacrifice deck? viscera seer and altar's reap are the only ones.

Well you also have skullclamp, but ya more sac outlets would be good. There's always the 2cmc vampire if nothing else

Since you're sacrificing so many creatures, how about adding some graveyard recursion? Bloodghast and Gravecrawler keep returning so you can continue sacrificing them over and over =)

ah, thanks, but I need a sac creature that has a "when this creature dies" effect to give the full effect.

You should replace the guildgates with Scoured Barrens, same result plus a little life gain which is never a bad thing

I really enjoy this deck's design. The Skullclamp is especially pretty, Will probably have to add it to my own Dark Sacrifice deck. I gave it a Like. Please shoot over and take a look at mine and tell me what you think. (http://www.mtgvault.com/staiton/decks/dark-sacrefice/)
