Deck Description

"Damn Nature! You scary!"

This deck is based loosely on the new "Nature of the Beast" deck from Commander 2013. I say loosely because I only kept maybe a quarter of the original cards from the deck, many of which were non-basic lands.

How to Play

This new version of the Naya EDH deck features a fair amount of mana ramp, ridiculous life gain, and loooots of big beasties. Many of the cards I've added multiply the mana your lands generate, or make it incredibly easy to get out your big stompy creatures without expending a lot of mana.

While ramping up in the early game, it's best to be political, which is why many of the cards I've included in the deck list benefit the other players as well. Nature loves everyone until you piss it off, after all.

Many other cards depend on creatures entering the battlefield to do damage, gain life, or otherwise increase your odds of winning.

My normal play style is to sit back, tend my gardens, and then explode into some game-winning combo. So playing something so brutal and straightforward is a whole new experience for me.

I'd like to hear what people think, so please feel free to like and comment.

Deck discussion for Nature

I would try Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger instead of Zhur-Taa Ancient and Devil's Play instead of Blaze, and I would try to fit in Defense of the Heart, that's my opinion.

I'm definitely putting in Devil's Play. I considered Vorinclex as well, but I'm still trying to stick with a beast theme. Plus our table is pretty big, so it helps to be political so you don't get focused down early.

Also, Defense of the Heart is nifty. If I didn't have an OCD that disallowed me from playing older cards like that, I'd most definitely run it. Hopefully they'll reprint it at some point.

Thanks for the suggestions though :]
