I’m a big, big fan of unorthodox decks and this is easily one of my favorites I’ve seen on here. Might have to throw this together myself and have some fun. Great work!

It’s both. Brought it back for nostalgia but that first turn ritual negator can just be devastating. Maybe I’ll stick a couple obliterators in the sideboard.

Only suggestion I can come up with to get it down to 60 cards but that’s just my deck building OCD. Maybe animal sanctuary? Still fits the low cash cost
my only suggestion is going to go along with megrim/underworld dreams if i were you id do: - 2 font of mythos + 2 Anvil of bogardin (i know the card is a major risk because you also have to discard but its an automatic 3 damage a turn for your opponent) + lavaclaw reaches ( i love this land in any black/red deck) -4 burning inquary +4 hymn to tourach ( i think this is a better option) also if capable add in a wheel of fortune and yawgmoth's will
stasis decks are some of my all time favorites and this one is a really good version.

what no millstone?
i can see why the reef pirates are in there but aether is right with morphling or quicksilver dragon is a better choice than anthroplasm, also with counter decks i like to use isochron scepter and arcane laboratory as a deadly combo
you should try to get your hands on some blightnings such a good red black card
lightning helix try to get some of those that will really help this deck, also more 1 mana or 2 mana spells like swords to plowshares and lightning bolt, incinerate or even angel's song would do you a world of good.
maybe you should try ankh of mishra? i do like the creativity and i love all sliths and for the sideboard you should have a couple red elemental blasts to deal with a blue deck. and with the egg i always use dwarven drillers cause than they take 2 every turn if both are out=]
