Golgari combines my two favorite colors and play styles in MTG: Green and Black, and it does so in a most elegantly grotesque way. This is the budget form of a deck that I plan to release that I expect to be much more competitive as well as much more pricy.
The Golgari are (mostly) about sacrificing your own physical possessions for power; Cards like Grisly Salvage and Commune with the Gods, as well as the multitude of cards with "Dredge" will thin out your deck and get all of the stuff you need into the graveyard, where they should be and are much more easy to manipulate. A classic strategy with a Golgari deck revolves around discarding creatures with Lotleth Troll, buffing him up and at the same time filling your graveyard up with precious material to use. This deck has that strategy in it, but does not 100% depend on it; Using Vigor Mortis to get stuff out of your graveyard that you've milled is a legitimate strategy; its also nice to be able to get stuff other than just creatures, and that is what Deadbridge Chant is there for.
