You probably made him/her enter a mental loop.I myself have been living as a fatalist most of my life because I believed in full determinism of the atoms.Somehow this made my life work out by not giving a damn about my own fate. The last 8-10 years I've broken out of the fatalist view and is the lord of my own fate. Somehow that also gave me a hell of a lot of new types of problems to be solved.
