Deck Description

Using Azami, Lady of Scrolls as it's commander, this deck creates huge amounts of card advantage, to find and assemble 1 of many combos, that can win the game on the spot.

Not the most fun deck to play against, but extremely powerful and consistent.

Running Azami as our commander will draw a ton of hate, as she is just absurdly strong, and people will know that you are running obnoxious combos.

How to Play

*High Tide/ Extraplaner Lens/ Gauntlet of Power + Palinchron = Infinite Mana

*Aphetto Alchemist/ Fatestitcher + Pemmin's Aura/ Freed from the Real + Khalni Gem/ Gilded Lotus = Infinite Mana, Infinite Untapping

- with this combo, you can use your infinite mana to play Azami, and then you have Infinite draw as well

*Mind Over Matter + Azami = Infinite Filter

*Mind Over Matter + Azami + Fallowsage = Infinite Draw

*Magus of the Future + Sensei's Divining Top = 1 mana to draw 1 card

*Azami + Pemmin's Aura/ Freed from the Real = 1 mana to draw 1 card

*Sug'Ata Firewalker/ Zuran Spellcaster + Pemmin's Aura/ Freed from the Real + Basilisk Collar = 1 mana to kill 1 creature

*Merrow Levitator & Inspired Sprite both act like Nettle Sentinels with Azami, and turn your deck into an engine, enabling you to play/draw tons of cards.

_______________________________________________________________________

With infinite mana you can use Blue Sun's Zenith to win the game outright, or Capsize to bounce everything back their owners hands. If you have infinite mana without using Hightide you can keep Capsizing everything each turn. With infinite mana you can also kill everyone with Suq'Ata Firewalker/ Zuran Spellcaster + Pemmin's Aura/ Freed from the Real.

The Aphetto Alchemist/ Fatestitcher + Pemmin's Aura/ Freed from the Real + Khalni Gem/ Gilded Lotus combo is the strongest in the deck, despite being the hardest to assemble, and is an instant win if successfully assembled. This gives you infinite mana, and infinite untapping. So you can use your infinite mana to play Azami, and then you have infinite draw/mana/and untapping. You can then draw through the entire deck and win with either Lab Maniac, Blue Sun's Zenith, Zuran Spellcaster, or Suq-Ata Firewalker.

Mind Over Matter and Azami will also let you cycle through your entire deck into Lab Maniac for the win, assuming you have enough mana to play Lab Man before cycling. You can even leave open enough mana to find counterspell back up too

Deck discussion for Azami, Lady of Scrolls EDH

Nice Deck +1 from me
A few wizards I would suggest that I don't see are: Arcanis the Omnipotent, Coastal Wizard, Cytoplast Manipulator, Daring Apprentice, Fatespinner, Master of Waves, Riptide Director, Serendib Sorcerer, Snapcaster Mage, Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Venser, Shaper Savant.

Arcanis is unnecessary With Azami as the Commander and Consecrated Sphinx is much better for the mana.

Surgespanner is a better Coastal Wizard.

Sower of Temptation is a better Cytoplast Manipulator

Riptide Director is decent but you don't actually need his draw when it comes down to it.

Master of Waves is very good, and could be an alt win, but it's just hard to find space for cards that don't support any combos or synergies.

I was playing Fatespinner but it actually just annoys people and makes them attack you more than anything.

Serendib Sorcorer, Snapcaster Mage, Teferi, and Venser are definitely worth playing though. I would mostly like to squeeze in a Venser, and possibly a Serindib but space is super tight.... hmmm...

Great suggestions though, thanks!

Honestly, I'd remove an Island for Venser.

It seems a bit shameless not to include a 'Spellbook' for all that card advantage, and flavor - Good job on building the Azami EDH I could not ^_^
I lack resources and time, but you get a +1 from me and kudos, man =)

I would suggest Phyrexian Metamorph and something to copy stuff, but the deck doesn't seem to need it - however, Illusionist's Bracers on Azami... that's just... I... But... Oh well what-the-hell, go nuts, amigo ^_^

I really dig the Sensei + Magus of Future combo. Haven't seen or heard about that one before :D

Does your enemies hate much on this?

You can also add Helm of Awakening or Etherium Sculptor if you wanted to achieve infinite draw with Magus, and Top, which can be cool.

Oh yeah. The first few games weren't so bad, but once everyone realized how insane Azami is, i started getting hated out hard. I understand though, EDH is supposed to be a social, fun format. Combos that can just flat out win you the game aren't very fair for EDH.

My buddy plays an Oloro Ad Nauseam EDH deck though, and that thing is even crazier. He wins like 90% of the games we play on like turn 3. -_-'

Combo decks are the most fun to play because of all the attention you get. If you lose you have an excuse, if you win you can brag. And it's always a challenge. Sometimes.

Alleyway: Oloro *AND* Ad Nauseam?! 0.0; That sounds just plain-ol' evil. Better sure my friend, whom also runs Oloro, doesn't hear about that

I often play whichever deck fits the crew I'm battling. Some of them has a ban- and a watch-list where cards, that will win you the game alone are banned. Like Insurrection and/or Dead-eye navigator.

Like you said - EDH is a casual format, and those I usually play with/against aren't hellbent on winning all the time, but more for the fun of it ^_^
