Deck Description

I put this list together with some of the extra cards me and my friends have lying around. Basically just trying to be blazing fast reanimator, without the card disadvantage or slowdown from FoW/ Daze.

There is also more of an emphasis on abusing griselbrand here. Hopefully drawing into lotus petals/ dark rituals, and more combo cards, or just a bunch of discard to strip your opponents hand.

Deck discussion for Legacy Blitz Reanimator

I know it's super cheesy, but I standby Goryo's Vengeance over Animate Dead in blitz Reanimator. Grabbing a Griselbrand to draw, swing, draw, or freaking Emrakul? What's not to love?

In blitz style I also find it a bit of a tossup between the blue trips vs Faithless Looting. The blue digs deeper, but Lootings and Study pitch to the graveyard. In a build like this it seems like the latter would do better, whereas the ones that run Emrakul would do better to run the usual suspects.

It's been a while since Blitz had something new hit, last time probably was Emrakul and Goryo's Vengeance. I have to say I'm liking the facelift, it seems much more consistent, while still retaining a high degree of power.

Blitz Reanimator.. That has a nice ring to it. *name changed*

You know what, my friend plays Grisel Cannon in modern, so there is a set of Goryo's Vengeance available. I had debated trying it out, i was just afraid of only having a non-griselbrand target to reanimate with it. If i had access Shallow Grave though, i would probably go all in on Griselbrand and Emrakul.

Careful Study/ Faithless Looting are great. The first draft had Carefull Study as well as Brainstorm + Ponder, but i thought it might be fun to run a little wishboard, so i changed it up. My thought is i can wish for Cabal Therapy if i need a discard outlet, or i can wish for Exhume if i need reanimation, or even Show and Tell if i need to beat grave hate. >:D

Its still possible some faithless looting or careful Study might find their way into the deck though.

Would it be worth the sideboard space for Overmaster?

I suppose if they're going to let Wish go off, it might not be terribly useful, but it does replace itself.

Pretty cool card, but the Discard in board works as wishable disruption or a discard outlet to get fatties in the grave, and is black so you only need one red source available. I did switch Pyroclasm to Dreadbore though, for a way to kill Liliana and hatebears game 1. Im not sure if Chain Lightning would be better though.

I´ve been looking through a few of your deck´s, Alleyway and I gotta say, I´m impressed by your keen sense on making coherent and well thought-of Libraries. I feel you´d excel in a Stax, have you ever thought of making one? I´m still new to the concept, but the different versions I´ve played, of the one I have, has been quite amusing =) Since you´re mostly into Legacy, I thought it would suit you perfectly.
From what I´ve experienced so far, is that they can become quite addictive to modify.
I hope you´ll consider making one =)

And a merry Christmas to you

^Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good game.
Kind of want to get into Legacy after seeing some of these. I really like reanimator and control/disruption(only Legacy deck that I have is the Graveborn deck). Any ideas for a cheapish deck to get started with?

Burn is probably the most cheap to start out with, but in Legacy, things can quickly start til get out of control, money-wise. I won´t post a link here, since it has nothing to do with Alleyway´s Reanimator, but you can click my name and look for it there =)

Alleyway, have you thought of making a Stax / Pox~ish thing-a-maggig?

I have actually played around with some Stax builds. Winter Orb has always been a favorite card of mine and i had a Stax deck centered around that for a while. Lately though i have just been getting super into combo. When it comes down to it i dig playing storm decks more than anything else. But i have always thought Prison style decks were incredibly sweet. Maybe i should try my hand at a build like that again. There is this card Mana Vortex i have been wanting to build around for a while now actally

Manaless Dredge is probably the coolest budget deck in Legacy in my opinion. It can be sensitive to hate, but it can slay pretty hard most of the time and is actually a sweet deck. Burn is boring.

I say: Go for it, man !
Your other decks tell me, that you have the knowledge.
Winter Orb, by the way, is also one of my favorites. Storm decks can be a lot of fun, although I think that Stax is just a nudge more infuriating to play against. I have only 1 Storm deck, it evolves around Suicide Card Draw. Once I drew till I was at 3 life
Opponent: Snapcaster Mage. Target Lightning Bolt. You lose.
Me: FFFFUUU... no seriously, well played, man. Well played.
That was an epic way to die.
