Rhys has always been a favorite of mine he was the first commander deck I ever built from scratch. I recently started playing commander again and was looking for a few ways to beef up the deck so I've made some heavy changes to make it a little more threatening and more competitive. I've hoped I accomplished that. I'm still open thought to suggestions and ideas haven't had too many chances to take it out and test it looking to change that this month. Thanks in advance for any advance and suggestions.
Idea is to build up considerable life and a large army of tokens all the while using several cards to try to keep from board wipes destroying those armies but if not should be able to recover if that happens. I tried adding several card draw functions to get to Aetherflux Reservoir faster with all the life gain hopeful this can be a quick win. Also with all the card draw I can just get to Test of Endurance or to Felidar Sovereign. I've also included Primal Command to help me tutor Felidar Sovereign strait to my hand. I'm also looking at some point trying to add some of the other tutors but they are on the expensive side at the moment. I've also included a good deal of control to help slow down my opponents while I set up my side of the board via cards like Blind Obedience, Imposing Sovereign, Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Oblivion Ring, and Conclave Tribunal, Authority of the Consuls. Mercy Killing has two functions I can use it against my opponents or on myself to maybe sacrifice Serra Avatar and if I have one of my life gain functions out this should easily double my life and give me a massive number of tokens all at once setting up for a win with Aetherflux Reservoir.
