How to Play

I've wanted to build a creature steal deck for a while now, but each time I tried, I had difficulty surviving long enough to actually build up enough creatures to take out my opponent. With this deck, I've taken a bit of a different approach.

In the short game, you want to get your cheap defenders out so your opponent can't start whittling away your life before you get to the mid-game.

Around turn 4, you can start stealing your opponent's creatures for your own devices! Since creature steal spells (Vedalken Shackles, Control Magic, Mind Control) are expensive, you don't want to use them on cheap cards, so Mana Leak, Ice Over, and Containment Membrane are there to help counter/ lockdown anything not worth taking for yourself.

There's a chance that even with stealing your opponents best creatures, you could end up in a bit of a stalemate toward the endgame, so Eternal Dominion is there to tilt the balance by enabling you to take any card from your opponents library. If you can't win with damage as a result, it has a secondary benefit in that it effectively becomes a mill, as both players are pulling cards from your opponents deck.

Please let me know any suggestions to make this better. As a side note, the deck is Modern if you swap out Control Magic for another "theft" card.

My only concern is surviving long enough to have 10 mana for eternal dominion.

Yeah, also this is the only type of control deck I approve of

I'll be play testing it tomorrow night and we will see what happens. My hope is that I can steal enough baddies from my opponent that I can overwhelm his cheaper creatures with his own deck. If that doesn't happen, Eternal Dominion is just there as an insurance policy rather than an end goal.
