Deck Description

This deck is built around one synergy: Deadly Recluse/Ambush Viper/Sedge Scorpion + Fire Whip/Fall of the Hammer/Power of Fire. Since these creatures all have deathtouch, when they deal the damage through fire, everything kills every other creature. If you happen to (for some reason) not get one piece of the combo, Lightning Bolt can kill most creatures in Pauper or knock your opponent down. You can attack with your small creatures, but this deck bides time and kills creatures until you get out a Vulpine Goliath and finish them off. Evolution Charm is in here mainly for it's second option, which lets you return to your hand a killed Recluse/Viper/Scorpion, but it can also search for another land to cast Vulpine Goliath or make a big fox fly.

Deck discussion for Doom Hammer

Technically, Colossal Dreadmaw and Brambleweft Behemoth are both better than Vulpine Goliath. Viridian Longbow also has more long-term utility than Power of Fire. I also prefer Thornweald Archer over Deadly Recluse, but if you're afraid of Electrickery, Recluse seems better. Toxic Iguanar might be another consideration.
