Deck Description

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Actually I lied, what doesn't kill you kills your opponent :)

How to Play

This is an esper control with a twist. This deck wants you to constantly lose life (reasons why you run bitterblossom and thoughtseize and only lands that hurt you). You also have many ways to control (cryptic command, pact of negation, path to exile, remand, damnation). As soon as you draw idyllic tutor or near-death experience, play it (do not do this if you are playing against blue and they have 2 or more mana unless you got counters). Idyllic acts as a more expensive near-death experience in this deck.
Afterwards you wait until your opponent ends turn and you plunge into darkness using the 'lose X life to look at top X cards of your library and put 1 card into your hand' ability where X should be your remaining life total -1 (ex. 19 life = lose 18). Now upkeep, near-death experience checks your life, you are at 1, you win- shake your opponents hand. Alternate win-con is death's shadow

Sideboard

Torpor Orb= Kiki
Grafdigger's Cage= Storm, collected company
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon= Control
Leyline of Sanctity= Burn
Phyrexian Unlife= Burn
Stony Silence= Affinity

Enjoy
