Deck Description

Was a home brew of mine (apologies if there is a deck out there similar). I love Brutal Hordechief and wanted to find a way to incorporate him into a standard deck. Rakdos has always been a favorite of mine. Have had a lot of fun with this 99% of this deck is transferable to new rotation. I've had really good success with it at my FNM and MTGO Tournament play. I would love any tips or things to alter. I'll rate back. Thanks!

How to Play

So to start off what I like about this deck is it can play fast or it can play the long game. I've had really good success with it at my FNM which is about 300-400 weekly as well as MTGO. Would love suggestions, I'll rate back. Let me just explain the reasons for the cards I picked.

Abbot of Keral: easy card draw and to keep up with the game with draws. He can be sac fodder for Liliana, he can be a target for infectious etc etc. He keeps the cards coming. He can fill the board quick after a perm wipe.

Avaricious Dragon: larger beater...works like my Siege Outpost. I don't dislike him and he hasn't hurt my play yet. I'll choose other 4 drops if I have a full hand. 4/4 flyer and can hurt if left alone. Again the longer game he helps with card draw. (maybe the most arguable card in my deck, He's just been a good success for me). I tend to trade him out for Siege Outpost depending on how creature removal or enchantment destruction my opponent has.

Battle Brawler: 2/2 and is a #1 target for Infectious. Without infectious (red perm) hes a cheap 3/2 first strike, with infectious 5/3 hasted first strike. He's cheap to bring back from grave with Lili and Infectious will continue to be an easy target with a low cost. He's a warrior so he meshes well with blood-chin. He's also a cheap re-generator for flamewake.

Blood-Chin Rager: Another cheap guy that meshes well with Battle Brawler and Hordechief, and Blood Soaked Champ. Easy target for both Lili and Infectious. He puts a lot of focus on himself which can take the focus off of other creatures. He must be removed quick or else things will get ugly fast.

Blood Soaked Champion: Easy to revive, early (1) drop to get the aggro rolling. Meshes with Blood Chin, also pairs well with Brutal Hordechief as attack fodder that can be revived. Sac target for executioner and easy flip for Lili.

Brutal Hordchief: My fav card. Just like this guy and I tried to build a deck around him. When he drops he can immediately change the game, everything swings for life gain etc. If on next turn with 5 land you can use his block feature and typically that is game right there with minions out on the table. He has a bulls-eye painted on him, so don't expect him to last long, but your earlier drops have probably drawn some early removal in the game.

Flamewake Phoneix: like this guy because he's hard to kill. 3 drop, flyer, always hitting, hitting hitting. He comes back so easy with infectious cast on anything. He's a discard target for Lili or anything else.

Liliana: 3 drop, really easy to flip her in an aggro aggressive play style. She's also a target that can remove removals prior to Hordchief landing. I typically use her solely for her back from the dead -X ability. Works well in the long game.

Merciless Executioner: another warrior for Blood Chin. Primary sac fodder is of course dragon fodder. Can sac himself to flip Lili. Lili can pull him back for more removal. Gets a those hard to target foes.

Dragon Fodder: I just felt like this belonged. Typically it's my first to move to the side board when I need some burn present instead. Cheap blockers, easy sac fodder, synergies well with Hordechief.

Infectious Bloodlust: This card makes me smile. I love the synergy with flamewake, pumps up small beaters...virtually everything becomes a 4/X. It's hard to remove and keeps coming back. Works well with Lili's -X ability to return creature from graveyard, now it has haste, boom. Love it.

Outpost Siege: helps me with the long game. I'm always choosing Khans, and this card really goes the distance with longer games.

Lands: these guys are the most changeable and this is where things will need to be changed for Zendikar rotation.

Anyway let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
