How to Play

Lead with your low casting creatures, slumbering dragon makes an incredible deterrent for the first couple turns while providing a combatant for pitfight.
Accrue those +1 counters and shift according to your needs. After that, pummel your foe into the ground with your ever increasingly powerful creatures.

Deck discussion for +1 Up

Hmm if I were you I would start by fixing the mana base, maybe start by adding up to atleast 22 lands and lands I would use are dual lands such as Rootbound Crag, Stomping Ground and Gruul Guildgate.

Card spells I would replace with lands are Chromatic Lantern since you hardly need that extra mana fixing with that many lands, Naturalize is also a card I would rather add to the sideboard than the main deck and Predator's Rapport is another obsolete card since lifegain spells only prolong your own death, if you want some lifegain then use it with abilities such as lifelink.

I know that dual lands can be expensive but if u have the money its really worth it and run more lands, over 32% of most decks should be lands regardless of mana fixing/ramp.

I agree and followed up on your advice, save for adding more lands. The dual lands helped immensely.
