Deck Description

Child of Alara is a spoiled brat that breaks everything when things won't go as planned xD

How to Play

Lands deck, based on this primer list : http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/commander-edh/multiplayer-commander-decklists/217247-child-of-alara-lands-dec (not claiming this list is a primer, though :P). Try to get the indestructible creatures on the battlefield as soon as you can but don't be aggressive, at least until your useful lands are on the battlefield. And if something is giving you problems, just kill Child of Alara to wipe the board. Kor Haven and Maze of Ith to protect you from attacks, or Maze's End as a win condition. Arena to destroy a few opponent's creatures, or even deal direct damage using Stuffy Doll. I use Prahv, Spires of Order to protect against direct damage, but the activation cost is so not worth that I'm thinking about replacing it with Nephalia Academy. Trespian's Stage to copy a land your opponent is destroying (but you can also get lands back with Splendid Reclamation). Blinkmoth Well to give a little bit of control. And Westvale Abbey as a poor man's Dark Depths, hahahaha. xD

Only send it to the command zone if it's going to be exiled, so it's ability can trigger. There's a lot of things to get the Child back: Call to the Netherworld, Soul Stair, Gravedigger, Grave Upheaval, Footbottom Feast, Naya Charm, Macabre Waltz, Yore-tiller Nephilim, Evolution Charm, Athreos God of Passage, Mortuary Mire. You also can destroy Child of Alara with Wrecking Ball, Angel of Despair, Angelic Purge (The extra casting cost), Damnation, Bontu the Glorified, High Market and Grim Backwoods.

Legacy Weapon, Angelic Purge and Resounding Silence to exile indestructible stuff your opponents controls.

Deck discussion for Spoiled Brat

i might stay away from creatures in general. you just dont need them. child can get plenty of kills all by herself. you have access to thebest removal and disruption in the game being 5 color. you might consider taking advantage of the cheap ones

Definitely something I've been thinking about. Sure, I've been able to do some shenanigans with Elvish Piper and Maelstrom Archangel, but creatures like Merfolk Looter and Stormscape Familiar are pretty much useless.

A lot of it depends on who you play with. If you have a very casual group then it's fine. But as you acquire more wins, people will gang up and/or improve their decks. Then speed will be the issue. As the need for speed increases the monetary price goes up as the curve goes down. My play group is super spike cut throat and one of the best decks is child. It plays amazing low cost disruption, almost no permanent besides land and o e shot things like snapcaster. It kills with good old fashion beats.
