Deck Description

Leave it to VengefulVeggies to find a deck so bizarre and fun that it takes a token combo deck and turns it into a Kobold combo deck. Honestly, all thanks to Veg once again for finding some crazy deck that made my turn my head a few times and go, "Wait that works.."

How to Play

Play a bunch of free kobolds, then attack. use keep watch to draw a bunch of cards, then rites of initiation to discard them all and swing for game. Side in Dispel and Spell Pierce for Electrickery hate. Spawn goblins if kobolds aren't enough, then with kobolds and goblins drop a bushwacker, swinging for a ton of damage. If you can thow in a rites as well, it's like play the keep watch combo.

Nope, Ornithopter was common once.

Ornithopter was printed as a common in M15. Phyrexian Walker would also work for this.
Just one other thing that came to my mind , and that only concerns the sideboard: Mizzium Skin won't help you against an overloaded Electrickery. The Skin prevents only spells with "target" in it's text from working but when you overload +1 Electrickery the "target" is replaced with "each" and thus it won't help. Only thing that could work here, because it prevents the damage, would be protection from coulour.

Oh..wow you're right. I completely overlooked that.Wow, I need a new answer to board removal that doesn't cost anything other than 1 and blue xD

And I didn't actually know Ornithopter was common in M15. That's...wow that break Pauper artifacts a bit. While this is good to know, I can't quite tell what could go for Ornithopter. War Marshall, Fodder, and Command all add more to the board, extremely helping out the Keep & Rites combo, and you need to hit 4 lands to go off. The only thing I can think of is Shared Discovery, which acts as a Not-Keep Watch. So..I'm kind of stuck on how it fits...any suggestions?

What you could do, even if that would mean to rename the deck, is replace some of the kobolds with Ornithopter and Phyrexian Walker, which would also help you with the Electrickery problem. If you still want some additional fixes against removal take a simple Mana Leak, Dispel, Envelop or Spell Pierce.

Spell Pierce is modern legal?!?! WHY HAS NO ONE MADE ME AWARE UNTIL NOW, I THOUGHT IT WAS BANNED!!

While I like the sound of the thopters and Phyrexian Walkers, I think the surprise value of Kobolds is a little more exciting and would rather just side in answers to Electrickery and Shrivel...and Evincar's Justice come to think of it. Plus, are you really intimidated at first glance to a board of 8 Kobolds? I'd be a little freaked out if I saw Ornithopters and Goblins adding up.

If you really want to make the kobolds worth it, I'd suggest spells that care about red creatures or spells. Also, I'm surprised lightning bolt is legal in pauper

Like Foundry Street Denizen? I can see that replacing Bushwhacker....and why? Delver of Secrets, Gurmag Angler, Slippery Boggle, Mulldrifter, Rancor, Ulamog's Crusher, Exhume, Chainer's Edict, (online at least) Prescene of Gond with Midnight Guard, (because why not play mana ramp colors for infinite tokens turn 3?) and Lightning Bolt are all ban-worthy, but no one has noticed so far....oh and did I mention Ponder and Preordain are legal?
