With the low cost of the deck (1 max) the six lands out will not be a problem, because when you place a land you can play any other card in the deck. So, I can go through the deck quicker. This makes it relatively easy to have six lands out.

Try Lightning Bolt.

This isn't mono red.

Also, I would switch out Titanic Growth for Giant Growth unless your running mana ramp, or big creatures such as Eldrazi.

Make that smokey deck you were talking about. The fire and forest one. Use burn and mana/ lifegain. Win by a landslide!

I would take out ambust commander it isn't legal in modern.
