Deck Description

I was absent during the eldrazi winter, but looking back at the decks of the time, a lot of the build still seems viable, so I decided to try my hand at crafting a working deck list based on the idea and this is what I came up with.

How to Play

It's a very controlling orzhov eldrazi build, exile your opponents threats, move them to the graveyard with strangler, and use the trigger to kill other threats. Cavern of souls and caves of koilos can produce colorless mana for the upper end of the curve and eldrazi displacer. Once the opponent is locked down, swig win the eldrazi and win.

Deck discussion for Orzhov Eldrazi Modern

Fetid Heath is another good source of {C} in this type of deck, plus it filters mana into the colours you need, helping cast things with two coloured mana costs (Tidehollow Sculler and Flickerwisp).

Anguished Unmaking can help get more things into exile for Wasteland Strangler to use. Plus it can exile any nonland permanent, not just creatures like Path.

Let me know how it runs, would like to know if it's worth trying to get what I'm missing.

Also, while I admit it is powerful, is Aether Vial really necessary here?

Aether Vail makes it easy to get the flicker wisp and strangler combo out much much faster which is why I have it, plus most of the creatures are 3 drops so it helps prevent counters from mana leak that would set the deck far behind. I am not sure if it is necessary but it has a few good uses and thus I decided to exclude it

Like I said, I know it's powerful. I'm just not sure I want to drop almost $180 just for 4 cards.
