Deck Description

This deck is my first foray into any form of tournament play in almost 15 years. I got hooked on pirates when I started playing again recently. Tezzeret seems like the perfect compliment to the treasure tokens. Although his ultimate ability is kind of weak, it can help to have a 5/5 at your disposal every turn late game if the other synergies fall apart.

How to Play

The basic concept is control your opponent while building up artifact mana tokens and go in for the win with Marionette Master. However, Deadeye Plunderers can possibly go toe to toe with big dinos when it drops. I've had a Kefnet and Bontu monuments out, 4 etherium tokens from Tezzeret, and both Fell Flagships out, dropped the Plunderers out as a 13/11! For 2 mana to boot! Opt and Evolving Wilds help you get card advantage, while unsummon and Fatal Push keep your opponents creatures and mana locked down. The pirates allow you to also control, take cards away with the Kitesail Freebooter, nerf creatures with the Warkite Maurader, and throw Skyship Plunderer in to liven up the board.
