heliosofcows gave me a challenge to make an assassin tribal deck using Thraximundar and no more than one set of a counter spell. This is an attempt at that :& I'm not happy with this, so I'm marking it off as "Trash" in the Deck Type line. I also tried to limit myself to Modern, hence no Ponder or Preordain, but I can't think of what to use in place of Dark Ritual :| This is closer to what I would've done for a tribal Assassin deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=342101

Use Nekrataal instead of big game hunter. He's way less situational, even with the non-artifact/black clause, and first strike can make a difference. Also, you should probably run more Royal Assassins than Gul Draz Assassins. And if you do, run more tap effects, such as Sleep, and low mana burn, such as Lightning Bolt. The reasoning behind Royal Assassin is that you want to limit them to 1-2 creatures to ensure you are dealt no damage until Thrax can screw them. liliana can be taken out for Tribute to Hunger for a bit of lifegain.
