I had the random idea to make a deck based around Light from Within.drakeraenes gave a few ideas, key one being Emeria, the Sky Ruin and Oversoul of Dusk. This is an extremely rough first draft for this idea.Core 2019 has a card that may fit this deck nicely:Silverbeak Griffin{W} {W} Creature - Griffin Flying2/2Not very impressive at first glance, but it is double white and has flying, and doesn't have Serra Avenger's drawback.
Emeria, the Sky Ruin may be the inspiration for building this deck, but I wanted to make it at least semi viable without it. Honor of the Pure and Idyllic Tutor give redundancy and search for Light from Within. These are the main noncreature creature buffers. Dryad Militant is just a great 1 drop. Gives something to play on 1 and denies a lot of graveyard shenanigans. Knight of the White Orchid ramps in two ways. It's own ability can ramp a land, but it also adds 2 white for Nykthos. 2 for a 2/2 with first strike and protection from a large amount of Modern staple removal spells makes White Knight a solid choice in a white Devotion deck.Serra Avenger is another solid Devotion option for white. 2 for a 3/3 with flying is a solid threat on its own and its downside is justified for the power you're getting. Benalish Marshal ticks a lot of check boxes for this devotion deck. 3 solid white, boosts the team, and is fairly beefy on its own.Bishop of Rebirth, Sun Titan and Emeria, the Sky Ruin make sure the creatures remain on the board.Oversoul of Dusk with just 1 Light from Within is a 5 mana 10/10 with protection from 3 of the 5 colours. Need I say more?

Actually I suggested Divinity of Pride and Godhead of Awe, but that's a much more terrifying option

It was those suggestions that led me to Oversoul of Dusk as they're all part of the same cycle of cards. I even considered some of the Lieges from that block.
I love the liege creatures. They're so mean
I was working on a "mono" green Liege deck. Green's mana dorks is what I think makes that idea viable.
Brave the Elements for some protection and Angel of Jubilation come to my mind.
Brave is a solid sideboard option. Not sure if there's space in the main deck for it though. Angel is a great option. Definitely worth testing. Thanks for the suggestions ??

A possible replacement for Serra Avenger, if it doesn't perform well enough. That do not cast clause is very restricting.
