Deck Description

Updating my Pioneer Dragons deck to include Rivaz of the Claw

How to Play

Use removal to buy time to land Dragons and ride them to victory.

Rivaz and Chandra can help ramp into the Dragons.
Rivaz also allows us to recast Dragons from the graveyard.
Chandra also provides pseudo draw and are an alternative win condition.

Thunderbreak Regent punishes the opponents removal that targets our Dragons. It's also our cheapest Dragon, but doesn't have haste.

Glorybringer can double as removal every other turn.

Stormbreath Dragon has protection from whire, so it dodges some good removal, blocks Angels really well, and cannot be blocked by said Angels. Excess mana can also be used to make it Monstrous, which makes it a 7/7 and it deals bonus damage when it's made Monstrous.

Den of the Bugbear is our backup, backup. Especially against hardcore control.

Speaking of Hardcore control, the sideboard has the 4th Thoughtseize, 3 Duress, and Chandra, Awakened Inferno for that match up.

SB Bloodchief's Thirst is for the 8 elf decks and any low to the ground, go wide decks. It also doubles as removal for the bigger creatures and planeswalkers, if necessary.

Abrade is for any artifact shenanigans, which we just got a bunch of with The Brother's War.

Leyline of the Void is for graveyard shenanigans. It's also one sided, so it won't shut down Rivaz.
