Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (15 cards)

Enchantments (6)

Deck Description

Third attempt to use God-Pharaoh's Gift. This time, instead of using cycling creatures to dig into a Gate to the Afterlife to cheat God-Pharaoh's Gift into play, I decided to loot the Gift into the graveyard to reanimate with Refurbish. Because of this, I decided artifact creatures are the best targets as they can be reanimated with both Refurbish and God-Pharaoh's Gift.

Sideboard and land base is still a work in progress.

I'd like to keep this safe from rotation, so please comment accordingly.

*Edit 11 July 2017
-2 God-Pharaoh's Gift
-3 Hollow One
-1 Bontu's Last Reckoning
+1 Liliana, Death's Majesty
+1 Hazoret the Fervent
+4 Bloodrage Brawler
-1 Plains
-1 Swamp
+1 Concealed Courtyard
+1 Inspiring Vantage

Took some of KeeganG's suggestions and tweaked accordingly. I am, however, concerned that all these extra discard cards makes Cathartic Reunion less reliable.

*Edit 13 July 2017
-1 Hazoret the Fervent
+1 Liliana, Death's Majesty

Goldfished a few games on XMage (against the bot) and Hazoret requires too much mana to fuel this deck's plan. On the other hand, Liliana's reanimation is awesome, and I would like to see her more.

*Edit 20 July 2017
-2 Bontu's Last Reckoning (main deck)
+2 Sweltering Suns (main deck)
+2 Bontu's Last Reckoning (sideboard)
-2 Sweltering Suns (sideboard)

I like the idea of having the cycling sweeper main deck, brining in the heavy sweeper only if needed.

How to Play

Control the board and loot until God-Pharaoh's Gift is in the graveyard, then Refurbish it back into play to reanimate a Gearhulk as a 4/4 zombie with haste.

Or

Control the board and loot until a Gearhulk is in the graveyard, then Refurbish it back into play.

God-Pharaoh's Gift is the more permanent reanimating effect, despite the downgrade to a Gearhulk's P/T.
Combustible Gearhulk's etb helps dig into the artifacts needed, and thanks to the reanimate effects, the cards going to the graveyard is a good thing.
Bloodrage Brawler, and Liliana help with the fill the graveyard plan, but with added up sides. Liliana also helps reanimate.

Deck discussion for God-Pharaoh's Gearhulks

I would up the creature count or decrease the number of gifts you're playing. Archfiend of ifnir is great in this deck as a card that can be binned early, reanimated late, and it turns late draws of tormeting or cathartic into removal. Also increases the decks cmc for gearhulk. Maybe drop to three god pharoah's gift and try liliana as a 1 or 2 of? Another card you might consider is Olivia, mobilized for war. She's another three mana play, something your deck is lacking, she bins creatures to give haste to a reanimated creature, she's great with godpharoah and on her own a good threat. You might also consider a 1-2 of collective brutality for the discard clause. If you increase the number of discard spells you're running, you could play some number of fiery tempers (also solves the problem of turn 3 plays). Lastly, key to the city can be nice as a 1 or two of in place of tormenting voice, as it ultimately provides better utility. Really like gift, need to find space for 1 or 2 in my reanimator list.

I forgot to mention that I want to keep this safe from rotation, which is happening end September.

I do like the idea of Archfiend of Ifnir working with the looting. The problem I'm having is Refurbish only reanimates artifacts, which is why I don't want to lower God-Pharaoh's Gift lower than 3. So maybe something like this:
-1 God-Pharaoh's Gift
-1 Fatal Push
+2 Archfiend

And maybe drop a land and a Bontu's Last Reckoning for two Hazoret the Fervent for more discard?

I would maybe relegate last reckoning to the board in favor of collective brutality. Discard and removal is excellent in this deck. How do you feel about adding Lilly? (5cmc). She's good on her own against control (grixis bolas is going to be big) and helps as another reanimator, cheaper to cast than god pharoah's

Ya, the [-3] of Liliana, Death's Majesty would be great in here. So what? 2 Gift, 1 Lili? I don't want to rely on her too much as I can see Liliana's Defeat being a sideboard against Bolas if he becomes a deck (something I see as a possibility).

Sadly, Collective Brutality is part of the cards cycling out. Other than Hazoret, I can see Bloodrage Brawler being a discard source. It's not Brutality, but it is another threat that can be reanimated with Gift / Lili.

I feel like (despite a few different ways to discard cards and the 2 copies of Lili) your lacking another way to mill yourself. I think your just 2-4 cards away from having enough mill/discard.
The discard effects require you having the reanimation target in your hand so I would prefer a solid mill card.

Anyway +1 from me I like the deck

What about a pair of Unburden? I can turn it on myself to discard the Gearhulks, or I can cycle it. Also thinking of moving Bontu's Last Reckoning to the sideboard and brining Sweltering Suns main, because it has cycling.

I don't know about unburden but sweltering suns having cycling is pretty sweet. Maybe that over Last Reckoning?

Hello my friend,

I can see your effort on trying to do a good Gift deck, but i think you have a better way to try it.
Here is my list, see what you think:

It still need some adjusts, but i'm having good results.
