Deck discussion for GW Humans

Did you consider Repel the Abominable as a combat trick and protection from burn?

I also like the big GW angel, Sigarda.

Weenie-wise I would add Thraben Inspector as another one drop and as it gets you another weenie potentially or at least rids you of another land draw.

With so many humans in Standard, including Werewolves before they transform, Repel the Abominable is sideboard tech vs heavy non-humans.

Sigarda is a good card, but I'm concerned about how she'd affect the mana curve.

I chose not to include Thraben Inspector in favour of Town Gossipmonger and Expedition Envoy. Thraben Inspector is a 1/2; Town Gossipmonger can be a 2/3 with a Firebreathing effect; and Expedition Envoy is a 2/1. The higher power at the same cmc is what was the final deciding factor. (not too bothered with the Clue).

Standard weenie has often been more about the two drops than anything else, imo.

Makes some sense, have you got experience playing the gossipmonger? I haven't but was thinking the flip requirement might slow you down a bit as it means no attack turn 2. Anyway, there's lots of good 2 drops which do indeed flesh out the deck. I did a similar thing and included Sigarda, but it's by no means a finished article for me. I'm curious about how you progress with this!

Block something that the flipped side can kill / survive blocking, tap it and a creature with Summoning sickness, and presto, 2/3 on turn two and a possibility dead creature on the opponent's side.

Sadly, this is a build for someone else. I'm working on GR Delirium for myself.
