Deck Description

Just a fun idea to use Spreading Algae + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

How to Play

While the main idea it to use Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to turn the opponent's lands into Swamps to destroy them with Spreading Algae over and over again, the deck can function without that combo.

Sylvan Scrying fetches any land. Main use is to fetch Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, but it can also fetch any other lands.

Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl generates a ton of mana. Also the main reason there's 6 basic Forests. Together, they can get you 4 mana on turn 2, 6 mana on turn 3. Even on their own (BoP too) accelerates you into a turn two Rain of Tears.

Garruk helps with the mana acceleration, especially when untapping a forest would Utopia Sprawl on it. He also generates a lot of 3/3 Beast tokens.

Grave Titan is the main win condition. The army it makes is awesome, especially if you can ultimate Garruk.

Deck discussion for Spreading Destruction

Dingus Egg for that little extra damage.

As much as I like Dingus Egg (I have 4 in my folder), I feel it's too slow for what it does. Had it cost 3, entered tapped, and only triggered while untapped, then it would probably see a lot more play. Or if it had some other effects in addition to its triggered ability while remaining at 4 mana, like maybe adding mana. But as it is, with no payoff other than its triggered ability, it just feels too slow.

Love the use of the algae and urbog here. Looks like a lot of fun to play with. But not against. :P

I just got a revelation, Nettle Sentinel + Paradise Mantle + Urborg + Algae + War's Toll would be an instant land sweep.
I don't know if it'd work, but it would be awesome to try.

not sure that would work because spreading algae says when enchanted land becomes tapped destroy it. but, if it did work, Mana web would be fun as well.
