Deck Description

Slight tweak of my token deck. I'm trying out Beckon Apparition in place of Doomed Traveler and I added Surgical Extraction and Batwing Brume to the sideboard.

:D I came 2nd with this :D

Oh, and I have new hatred for Grand Abolisher >:(

How to Play

Play tokens, pump them with enchantments, attack and (hopefully) win.

Playtested against Malira Persist Sac. I won because I kept Beckon Apparition in hand to use on the Persist creature before the Persist effect could bring it back. Surgical Extraction from sideboard to increase the chances of disrupting the Persist.
Zealous Persecution can kill the sac outlet(s).

Vs Aura Hexproof:
-4 Devouring Light [most of the creatures have hexproof]
-4 Rootborn Defenses ["Protection from creatures" made this useless]
+2 Batwing Brume [fog and drain a bit of life]
+3 Dawn Charm [another fog, to help buy time]
+3 Sundering Growth [destroys problematic auras and populates]
Also, Zealous Persecution has a chance to kill hexproof creatures before their auras are attached.

Deck discussion for White Tokens (Modern)

What about Bitterblossom and Sorin, Solemn Visitor ? I don't know if they're in your budget range, but theses cards are really solid at winning long attrition games versus decks like Junk and Jund. Also, I'd suggest you to add a couple Stony Silence to the sideboard. This card completely shuts down Affinity and it can slow down Tron decks enough for you to win before they assemble their lands.

Besides it's price tag, Bitterblossom makes black tokens, thus not getting a buff from Honor of the Pure.
A friend has a Sorin, Solemn Visitor I've been trying to get, but no luck yet.
Lucky for me, no one in my group is playing affinity nor Tron, but I'll consider it if they start playing them.

I agree with you for Bitterblossom, it's pricy and less good then it seems to be, but it's a fun card nonetheless in a token deck. Also, 2. More suggestions. Does anyone play Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki's infinite combos in your playgroup ? I think either Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant/Auriok Champion could be good as a way to gain lots of life while also stopping Twin/Kiki-Jiki from going off with Deceiver Exarch. Also, another suggestion would be Secure the Wastes, which is a card I firmly believe is playable in Modern. It can either be a slightly worse Raise the Alarm or a huge game winning spell and it's instant speed which is really what makes the card good.

Only one person plays Splinter Twin and I've added Batwing Brume to my sideboard for that :p
