Deck Description

A contemporary look at Legacy Stasis now that there is a way to shift the entire burden of Stasis off of you onto opponent: Wilderness Reclamation.

This build operates on the sweet synergy of Stasis as a control mechanic and a win condition.

Lockdown Combos:

Stasis + Wilderness Reclamation = complete lockdown of opponent and virtually no detriment to you.
Stasis + Chronatog = firm lockdown and a win condition by decking opponent.
Stasis + Forsaken City = firm lockdown, wait for Wilderness Reclamation or Chronatog while opponent can't do anything.

Win Conditions:

Chronatog decks opponent with the draw phase that you skip and opponent doesn't.
Jace builds to a deckout.
Blinkmoth Nexus and Wilderness Reclamation infects opponent to death.

Some other noted synergy:

Root Maze absolutely SLAYS development, which this deck doesn't really care about. This build has 20 one-drops, and 6 counters that don't need mana. Meanwhile, opponent faces development a turn behind against a deck that lives on tempo. Also of note, Root Maze renders fetch lands ridiculous (2 turn turnaround), and you can play it turn 1. Root Maze turn 1 on the play is a nearly inevitable scoop.

Enlightened tutor is an instant one-drop fetch that retrieves either piece of the lockdown.

Side is a work in progress, as this is a basically unknown entity in competitive play, and Reclamation is still new.

Feedback appreciated.

No worries, Stasis is too fun and annoying a card to ignore.
