Deck Description

Budget build looking to take advantage of the deathtouch mechanic to sneak in damage and a material win. Here's the synergy breakdown:

Weenie deathtouch thugs: fast value critters that basically force opponent to go one for one in material and almost all come with a bonus (life, material, draino).

Feign Death/Undying Malice/Malakir Rebirth- your critter takes the hit, goes one for one, then you revive it for a material balance with a tempo boost. Also great against removal.

Vraska- turns your weenies into win conditions and spawns her own defense (if necessary).

Viridian Claw- deathtouch + first strike = field dominance. For 3 mana (then 1 thereafter) you get weenies that can't be killed by combat damage and can block anything to death.

Lashwrithe- win condition on its own in a build like this, but can easily be equipped to a deathtouch goon (if the spawn token dies) and punish opponent relentlessly. Basically trying to take advantage of the high swamp count.

Night's Whisper- the loss of life is almost certainly going to be balanced out by all the lifelink/lifegain this deck has to offer, so its basically a 2-drop draw 2

The rest is standard draw/control mechanics to compliment the build and maximize the mono-color theme.

Deck discussion for Modern Deathtouch Budget

I like this list. I would recommend a "Tim" style tap->deal 1 damage Viridian Longbow because there are some creatures that just don't die to combat cause they refuse to engage. Maybe drop one planeswalker or a few spell bombs. Duress is also great when you're trying to keep a little army alive from wipes. Could swap 2 Feign Death for some Thoughtseize
