So im a big fan of the rakdos idealogy for deckmaking, in that everyone should share in the pain. However, one of the big issues rakdos has is facing down lifegain decks, so i wanted to make a deck that turned lifegain into a deadly weapon by using the enchantment Rain of Gore. This is the result of that idea.
Early game is the most important area for this deck. You want to get out Rain of Gore as fast as you can. This will make all your lifegain spells turn the tables on your opponents. Some strategic cards in here are the red and black counterspells. Save them for threats that you just cannot handle. If you can get an opponent low enough in life, then they will have no choice but to let the spell counter its target. Another good strategy is putting Curse of the Forsaken on yourself. That plus RoG will make any attacks on you hurt severely. That coupled with a Serene Master or two can really put the hurt on attacking creatures and make you an almost untouchable threat throughout the game.
