Illness would be a good idea. Even better, adding blood artist and/or zulaport cutthroat and having them lose life for entering and leaving the battlefield. Maybe hissing miasma instead of ghostly prison as a backup plan. +1

I've been trying to use immortal servitude in my vampire version of this. Cauldron haze is much better but you need free sac outlets.
The reason aristocrats worked so well was the splash of white. Doomed traveler, cartel aristocrat, return to the ranks etc.

Viscera seer is a must. Bloodthrone vampire and aristocrat are good options. Nantuko husk if u don't want to go with vampires.

Would think he would use sign in blood over night's whisper, since sign in blood can hit opponent for 2 life. I would.
No memnite either, so maybe just a really old video?
Secret salvage might be a cool addition, maybe instead of soul spike?
Idk though, soul spike can draw you 4 more cards after you drain your life to 1 from necropotence.

Forgot to mention felidar sovereign, costs 6 but maybe a 1 of for another win con.
Aerial responder is also worth considering for budget lifegain.

If considering rhox faithmender, my favorite combo is ajani golmane and wall of reverence. Doubles life total. :)
