Deck Description

I always liked the splicer's alchemy and I there is the best I did so far.
Standard until October 5th 2012.

How to Play

In your first hand, you need one or two lands and somes mana creatures.
Your first goal is to play Birthing Pod, do not hesitate to pay 2 lifes to play it faster or even 4 to use it in the same turn.
Then, shift a mana creature for viridian emissary. (You can even use the creature's mana to sacrifice it.)
Then the chain begins, try to keep your switching creature alive.
Viridian emissary will give you one land when you change him for blade splicer wich is excellent because they are rares in this deck. (With viridian and evolving wilds,) If you don't have any forest, take one because it'll make all your double-lands enter untaped (half of your lands). If you have one, take a land of a color you don't have, in order, white, blue and black for sideboard. (also depends on your hand)
From this point, i'll be excellent if you can cast parallel lives cause you'll switch blade to vital or wing and then to etched monstrosity (or sensor splicer.)
If you know that you'll sacrifice the splicer you just got next turn, choose the one you don't want to keep in the deck. For example, at 4 mana, it can be good to pass vital if you want to take wing later.
Meanwhile, you can cast (on regular ways) other splicers (or viridian) and it'll give you something amazing: choice for birthing pod.
Wich ability do you want, do you want more golem, decision is awesome.
By the way, wing splicer and sensor splicer are deadly together!
Then etched monstrosity, 5/5 + splicer abilities isn't bad but do not waste him on fighting because when you'll get your 5 colors (wich isn't so hard with bird of paradise) you can spend 5 mana to pass him from 5/5 to 10/10 and draw 3 cards. It's almost like 3 cards at any moment you want it. (Cuz yeah, it's instant.)
A word about somes cards..
Conjurer's closet: Yes you can use it to remove the debuff on your creatures but it doesn't work on golems because they are tokens. So why? Because a splicer get you a golem (and often more with paralle lives) when it enters the battlefield. And you can take Etched Monstrosity to 10/10 for free (without drawing tho).
Parallel lives: A precision about the rules, two will get you 4 times tokens, 3: 8 times and 4: 16 times.
Now the sideboard, only swith instants or conjurer's closet, all the other cards are necessary to the deck.
Psychic surgery: If your ennemy take wath he want in his deck, it'll become your weapon. Just hope they won't use it on you..
Sudden Disappearance: There is two way to use this cars. First, exile all the ennemies blockers and end him with your golem army. Second, regen your golem army by exiling all your splicer at the end of your turn.
Dispatch: Any creature for one mana. Just need three artifacts like birthing pod or golems.
Mana Leak: Counterspell. Sadly hard to use in begening of game in this deck but still nice.
Naturalize: Depends on your ennemy. Somes hate this card.
Surgical extraction: If there is somes spells you don't like, you'll only see them one time. Work fine with naturalize for artifacts or enchantment or mana leak for any kind of card. Sad, it doesn't work with dispatch.
