Deck Description

Plague Spitter, spitting out his plague. In it's early stages and could use some work. Ideas please. I could use some feedback.

Deck discussion for Potato Reaper

Have you thought about the Spitemare or Boros Reckoner (though this one is expensive)? Maybe Grave Pact?

Haven't thought of those! Thanks for the response, I'm definitely considering Boros Reckoner, idk about Grave Pact though. With the potential board wipe from Plague spitter the opponent won't really have creatures to sac lol UNLESS! there is the odd chance that Grave pact would force them into sacing indestructible creatures that didn't fall to the spitter.

IMHO, Souls of the Faultless is the better version of either spitemare or boros reckoner.

As much as I LOVE Souls of the Faultless I've gotta disagree :/

Boros reckoner has split color cmc, whereas Souls has to be cast wbb. even though it has a lifelinkish ability it only takes affect with combat damage. SO in relation to this deck Reckoner would be a better choice just because it can bounce non-combat damage

Definitely a slow build, but have you considered steelshaper's gift or even putting it in your SB?

Didn't think of that. I'm considering it. I've gotta do some playtesting first

Looking more at your deck, which I might eventually build my own version, cards you should consider putting into your sideboard at least if not trying to run mainboard are suture priest, deathgreeter, grave pact, ogre slumlord, and thraben sentry (concerning creature control and life gain); breath of darigaaz, dry spell, infected vermin, rain of embers ( playing off of plague spitter's ability). My take on this concept of your deck would be to run a bunch of plague spitter and similar abilities along side of cards that give me life each time a creature dies to where I am continually draining my opponent of his creatures until he forfeits or my little guys have hit him enough times for the win.

I really like the idea of suture priest. It'll most likely take Brass Squires spot (he's proven to be pretty useless). I've been playing the deck for a few weeks now and it's not the greatest deck in the world lol lots of things are gonna be changed. I'm still gonna go off of the straight up ping, board wipe, death touch/lifelink combo. I just need a faster way of getting it done. Stoneforge gets all the equips i need but i need an effective way to tutor for Plague spitter or at least thin the deck out enough to draw into it early on. Any ideas, let me know. And I'm honored that you would want to put together your own version haha

To get out plague spitter quicker, I would first recommend looking into creatures with transmute or transfigure, such as dimir machinations or dimir house guard, and aside from that, possibly run birthing pod, diabolic intent, or remembrance. And depending on where you are in your game, you could run golgari thug for recycling spitter from the grave.
And here is my version of your deck:

Always appreciate your comments.
