After a move it has taken me a long while to get the craving to play some MTG. A few at home casual games and here I am again. Looking for a new modern tourney deck for my new found gaming store/meta. I do like taking unusual twists of a popular idea such as the blade decks. Jace is now back in action in modern, but I don't like to break my bank for a deck and it's to obvious. Let's see what else we can do. I do have a previous esper blade deck that did well in tourney settings. Time to revamp so things don't feel stale in a new setting!side board is a mess currently, kind of waiting to see what the meta has in store before I really have a solid idea what is needed there. Suggestions are always welcome. I am far from the mtg guru. Thanks :P
What I like about this deck is that it has the potential to burn an opponent out or be a strong blade deck. Reanimating the devil and ghast back in with alesha and titan as needed, equip the batterskull, clear a path, and swing.The rest is removal and burn to slow opponents or put them between a rock and hard place when you attempt to keep bringing back the devil.Ajani to be the dick he is and Nahiri to tutor out some missing pieces to the blade aspect of the deck if its needed.The big treat to the deck is removal and control. There are some things in main deck to help with this such as hide//seek, Ajani, and inquisition. If needed add some more hate with guttural response, extirpate, and crumble. These will help keep them on the defensive while you continue to burn or build up the blade fun.
