I would maybe use darksteel plate. to make melira indestructible =) that would protect from direct damage like lighting bolt and destruction like doom blade or go for the throat. i really like what you did with this. I also love new phyrexia. i would like it if you checked out some of my decks. they are heavily based off this series and block.

I can understand that. but one last card you may want to look at blood tribute. If you ever get to that late of a game then its a good card i suppose.

I would maybe think about using painful quandary. If they didn't want to loose the 5 life then they must discard. and its always nice knowing you opponents cant counter you =) and if they have no cards then they are screwed. so maybe use mind sludge, mind rot, or even despice. they are all great cards.

I would maybe replace "Smother" with "go for the throat" and put in 2 more hand of the praetors. and maybe try "blue sun zenith" but i like the deck as is.
