How about Scent of Jasmine? Quick way to gain some life, if you're building a deck around it. Comment on my deck, Red Elemental Beatdown.

I think you could easily drop three forests. 20 land plus llanowar elves should be plenty. With the three slots open, bump might of oaks, stonewood and call of the herd up to 4 cards each. Otherwise, looks like good stompy fun :) Please comment on my deck, Red Elemental Beatdown

Thanks for the comments on my Elemental Beatdown deck! As for your deck, I think Rancor would fit in great! +2/0, Trample, and auto-bounce to your hand when put into a yard from play is awesome. However, if you want to keep it type 2 legal, maybe consider the new green planeswalker from Lorwyn... he basically has the ability to give Overrun to your creatures, and has some other nice abilities.

I thought about crib swap, but I want to keep this deck themed, and while changelings could technically be kithkin, it just doesn't seem right. Oblivion Ring seems to have worked fairly well for me so far anyway, and gets rid of most problem creatures.

So maybe drop the soaring hopes in favor of rebuff? I'm also not real pleased with the harbinger in there... it never seems to do much for me.. I could replace the harbinger with Disenchant. That would give me some decent defense.

Thanks for the really constructive comment :)

It has actually done really well, locally. It does poorly against decks with lots of mana accelerator though.

Where is the burn? This deck is way too slow to deal enough damage in a decent amount of time. The burn you do have is also slow, and overshadowed by way too much land, and too many expensive creatures. Since you aren't aiming for type 2, I'd go for cheaper burn such as shocks, lightning bolts, and incinerates, For the cost of one lava axe, you could play 3 shocks and an incinerate, equaling 9 damage! And they are all instants, rather than a sorcery.

Look at getting some cheaper creatures, too.
