Deck Description

LURRUS CAMPANION

This deck is built around trespasser’s curse, forbidden orchard, kor spiritdancer, and hateful eidolon.

The final result turned into a weirdly versatile aggro/control/boggle deck with a bunch of interaction.

Thought process:
I have been trying to break Trespasser's Curse for a long time. The main problem with Curse is that it does not make an immediate impact when it hits the battlefield. With Sram and Kor, however, a 2 mana spell that has major upside and can also draw a card is extremely valuable. In combination with Forbidden Orchard, we can continue to proc T-Curse as the game progresses. Now the issue with Forbidden Orchard is we are giving the opponent an army. I have built around this by turning our Dead Weights and Mogis's favor into consistent cantrips - sometimes drawing us two or even three cards with a single Orchard in play.

How to Play

Unique synergies:
Trespasser’s Curse + Forbidden Orchard
Trespasser’s Curse + Sram/Kor
Hateful Eidolon + Forbidden Orchard
Deadweight + Kor (cancels eachother)
Ethereal Armor & enchantment creatures
Mogis’ favor as a kill spell or buff spell
Mercy killing + Ethereal armor + Trespasser’s curse

POST SIDEBOARD:

1) THE EASY SIDEBOARD -> if the enemy is mono colored and does not utilize search lands than sub out 2 arbiters for starfield mystic + another creature. Nyx-fleece ram when you need to be more defensive, Aphemia when you need to be more offensive, or eidolon of obstruction if you are against planeswalkers such as teferi.

2) CHANGE OF GAMEPLANS -> if you want to throw the opponent off after game 1 you can change the game plan to more of a normal orzhov aura aggro plan. This is a good call when you are against a heavy spells deck or control decks. Sub in 4 All that Glitters, 3 sentinel's eyes, and 2 lands for 4 trespasser's curse, 3 deadweights, and 2 forbidden orchard.

3) THE SINGLETONS -> If you are against an aggro deck than you can sun out mercy killing for sentinel's eyes. Duress can also be subbed in for mercy killing if you are against a control, planeswalkers, or burn deck. If you want to leave mercy killing in the mainboard than you can also consider subbing out a thoughtseize just to save the 2 life. If opponent has cards that require you to have basic lands then sub in plains/swamp.

Deck discussion for Lurrus Curse

Oh duude. I see it so succinctly.. this is so black it's unbelievable! The hateful eidolon turns all your removal into cantrips to dig, while Sram digs when you play a kill spell! Hahahaha, Brilliance! I might make a paper version of this (sans, the cards I don't have).

I feel like a couple path/Seal Away in the SB helps against some Teir 1-2 monsters, but I'm in love with it as it is!

Just updated sideboard, take a look! Changed mainboard too, lightened up on the discard theme a little bit to include some other cards and add more white mana
