Trying to make a competitive Zombie tribal deck for modern!Wayward Servant inspired me to go a life-drain way by combining him with Diregraf Captain and Plague Belcher. Athreos, God of Passage ist he only non-zombie but as a god that’s excusable.
Turn 1 you can play Festering Mummy or Slitherhead for early chumping. Turn 2 can directly be aggressive by playing Butcher Ghoul to set up Plague Belcher.(Take a second to notice how good they 2 synergies as Belcher removes to Undying counters…)or can start the drain-train by playing Wayward Servant.Turn 3 Plague Belcher if you have, otherwise play a lord.The deck also has multiple removal spells. Only specialty is the new Never // Return for testing and late-game mana synch.____________________________All suggestions are welcome :)
